Area Co-ordinators
- We’ve divided Lowdham up into areas to make it easier to communicate with residents. We recognise that not all users like the same communications channels. We have approximately 25 areas or roughly 40 houses.
- The area co-ordinator will typically be one of the first volunteers to pair with an isolator – so we are giving them cards to help with that shopping.
- Area co-ordinators are recommended to build up small group (3-6 people) of helpers so that together they can reach all people in their area.
- When a new self isolator registers we will discuss with area co-ordinator best volunteer to pair with the self isolator.
- Where we already have multiple volunteers in an area we’ll pass on contact details to the area co-ordinator.
- Area co-ordinators would ensure everyone in area knew there was support available and how to get it. This could be by WhatsApp groups, email etc – whatever was appropriate for the household. This may involve checking on households by walking to check on neighbours or delivering important leaflets.
- It is important to maintain consistency of approach across the area co-ordinators so we’ll put things on the website eg co-op process, Pharmacy process, feedback process.
- We’ve already spoken to some people about area co-ordinators but if you’d like to volunteer please let us know by emailing lowdhamflag@gmail.com.
