💦☔️💦☂️💦☔️💦☂️💦☔️💦☂️🫧☔️💦☂️Well it was bound to happen…….the glorious sunshine is expected to end in some much needed rain🌨💦☔️. Thunderstorms are unpredictable and can be very heavy and are expected Monday & Tuesday. The ground is rock hard. Can we ask If you live near a drain or offlet and you notice any debris in the gutters would you possibly just give it a bit of a clear. Nothing arduous, just to make sure any water can actually drain away and keep the flow going where it’s meant to. Many thanks

🌿🌿🌿🦺🚜🚧 FLAG have been notified that the Internal Drainage Board plan to cut and remove excess vegetation from the stretches of the Cocker beck that they maintain. You should see them along the beck with their machinery some time in the next couple of weeks! 🌿🌿🌿 🚧🚜🦺

Lowdham Flag aims to provide good community service. So today we retrieved a load of bricks from Cocker Beck that thoughtless folk had taken from The Railway pub and had thrown into the beck. 🧱🧱🧱A FLAG team effort removed all the bricks (several wheelbarrow trips) because they could have caused a major disruption to the water flow if they were left there. The bricks were returned to their owners at The Railway. While we were there we also noted that disrespectful or possibly very lazy people had discarded several dog poo bags (full ones) into the beck, even though there is a bin nearby!! 😡🤢🤷Please continue to keep an eye out for such incidents around the village and let us know if you find any. Hopefully we can help prevent thoughtless residents causing damage and pollution to this important village feature.
